Richard Paul has worked as a Director on projects worldwide with Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and, earlier in his career, at Foster Associates (now Foster and Partners). He has managed large teams of architects on a number of key schemes more recently including sites at Canary Wharf and Chiswick Park London. He has also spent a significant period on projects in the Far East from the Hong Kong Shanghai Bank Headquarters for Norman Foster to the NTV Headquarters in Tokyo, the SBC Headquarters in Korea and more recently several projects in China for Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners.

Following the Pudong Airport, competition in Shanghai, he co-led a team to win first prize award for Shanghai Expo 2010. The site, a new complex consisting of hotels, conference centres, leisure facilities etc will be used as a major trade hub following the event. Richard’s management of the Chiswick Park development was significant due to the fast build, high quality, low cost and energy efficiency requirements. The scheme has one of the highest lettable floor area ratios of any business park in the UK, and is currently being extended to a further two phases. Canary Riverside building recently won planning consent, the scheme built for trading and office space comprises of two towers and will be the second highest building on the Canary Estate. Richard’s experience covers a range of building types and he is currently working on WTC Tower 3, a high-rise tower on the site of the former World Trade Centre in New York.
